I yanked this from the Southwest Airlines magazine in the seatback in front of me this afternoon.

It's funny. Barry Manilow is a funny guy. And he looks great. Then, I noticed the funnier part of this ad!

What does that mean?

In my myspace photos section, I have this photo posted

and although my stare my be provocative, my nose is comically well endowed. So, I have the caption "my nose is bigger than your dick".
Today, I recieved some fan mail.

I can't tell if my new friend KILL is trying to boost my self esteem or his own. But either way, I love the internet.

Man, Kill Bill. Coolest movie ever. I thought the ending was just perfect. It wasn't as much fun as the first volume, but great in its own light. I want to see it again. And again. And then be ripped off when I go buy the dvd, when it comes out. This is the..third(?) entry I've devoted to Kill Bill? Jesus. But on the downside, I'm pretty goddamn close to being broke.
You know Ben has been to your house when...limewire library is half full of your stuff and half full of Busta Rhymes. Why? He put me in a box last night to make me portable.
So now I'm portable. Take me wherever you want, because I fit in a box that you can carry.

We went to Alviso a couple days ago. Alviso is the last place that is still slummy. It was supposed to be a big boating town. It's not anymore.
( it was very windy )
Today we went up to San Francisco and took Josh Staples to lunch! We had a good time and ate at this dirt cheap falaffel place. They served very good falaffel. Josh is a damn good time, and he knows his Quentin Tarrintino movies, which is like music to my ears. He told good stories and seemed to enjoy our company, much like we enjoyed his. We took some pictures with him on Ben's camera, which I can't load onto my computer because out USB plugs are different (no kidding!) I figured since we both have fujifilm cameras, it might just work, but fuck me, because his camera is 40000x cooler than mine. I bought a Cure split LP at Recycled Records, a random Man Or Astro Man cd for my brother (it's his birthday on Saturday)...and KILL BILL!! I am so excited. We watched it tonight so now I am only this much more amped to see vol. 2 on Friday. This is so unhealthy! But its so good! Like heroin! HEROIN, BITCHES. This Japanese store actually sells plush Andy Warhol banannas, like those on the cover of the Velvet Underground cd. I would kill for one. Why? Why not? What can't you do with a plush yellow-and-pink bananna? Nickel City tomorrow...yay.

On Friday, she is gonna kill bill. And I swear, I'm gonna see that movie the second it comes out. There is no such thing as a lame kill bill nerd. We are top of the nerd totem pole. Eee. I'm excited.

Shit, what a weekend. So far. Thank god for spring break. I'm getting to do nothing at all. Actually, last night was the Indie Rock Ball, which was just as good as I'd hoped it'd be. I got to meet 890 new people, which is not something I'm usually excited about, but it was a great crowd last night. An amazing number of Jews there too. Like...6 that I was aware of. Crazy shit! And all the cool kids from Salinas dropped by. The adorible Corinne and Johnny, Sarah who didn't think we'd remember her but we did because she's so cool, their friend with the brown hair who attended slumberfest2k4 (kelly?), DAVID who was so cute (Ben and I are both in love with him), and Michaela who freaked out when I was the 3rd person to say she looked like Meg White. Fun crowd, fun crowd. And we gave Judah a dvd we made. It's masked as an educational attempt to explain my heritage (for school), but it all reality, it's just a shameless way to 1-remind the world that my brother is still a prominent force in physical comedy, 2-make fun of white kids who think they're black, 3-brag to my third period English class that I listen to better music than all of them. And it was hot. Very hot inside the Outhouse. I thought I might die. In two different but equally good ways. The Velvet Teen set was so good, and we had good conversation with 2/3 of the band. Good news of today? Ben and I most likely will get catering jobs. Which means unfocused creativity and paychecks. Out the wazoo.

Johnny Depp always gets to do fun things in his movies. I wish I could do all the fun things Johhny does. Last night, Ben and I played Scrabble and I won! And I got to use the word "grail." And the (non)word QUIB. I meant to write out quim (it's a legitimate word if Henry Miller uses it) but Ben didn't challenge me on it, so we played with an illegitimate word on the Scrabble board. Rebel rebel. Grr. I really dislike boardgames. I get really wrapped up in playing them, but I don't consider "competitive" the correct word to describe my attitude towards them. It's more that I feel it a waste of effort to play Monopoly for 45 minutes only to not win. So. I get frustrated. Ben's grandparents find my distain towards these games quite amusing. ANd while we're on the subject of board games, I bought this messenger bag to replace my old backpack, as my lovely puppy chewed up the zipper beyond repair.

Why is that square (in the top left corner) at this obviously hip party? Wow I spent an entire entry talking about board games. This is why LiveJournal had codes.
Derek and I are talking about drinking and why I don't. I've concluded that aside from all the usual reasons, I don't drink because it would interfere with a good grammar and spelling record. Can't mess with that. CAN'T TOUCH THIS.

I am slowly but surely becoming a better driver. I trimmed my bangs
Kinda Uma Thurman Pulp Fiction thing. Maybe?
And Ben made burgers.
 Cooked over hellfire and brimstone.
My brother is coming home tomorrow for a few weeks, so maybe we'll have amy and joel bonding time. But realistically, we'll probably get along well for the first week, and then I'll just get tired of having a third person in the house.
My my my how quickly I run out of things to say.

He went to the snow and returned with this for me.

We've been going out for six months. We should be heading out for Santa Cruz later this afternoon to drop my brother off at school. He's such a pain in the ass now. He'll have his friends over on Saturday nights until 3am which I really wouldn't mind, except I've got work at 8 on Sunday mornings. And he and his friends are louder that walruses on melting icebregs. Do walruses make a lot of noise? I'm not really sure either, but I've come to the conclusion that an obscure refrence to a person/animal can really up the humor points of a statement. Like, would you watch a talkshow hosted by Oats of Hall and Oats? Well, you might tune in once and never again, but at least you were hooked for that one time. I need driving pratice...

So, happy Valentine's Day to one and all. Tonight, instead of watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Ben and I watched Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas. We figured it was basically in the same ballpark (if not the same sport) as Willy Wonka. Fear and Loathing is about drugs. Gene Wilder must have been on some hardcore narcotics while filming Willy Wonka. Fear and Loathing takes place in Las Vegas. That first room with all the candy shit in Willy Wonka is like a Las Vegas...of candy. Yes, its more or less the same movie.
"It's like I died and went to heaven. But then someone decided it wasn't my time and sent me back to a brewery."-Peter Griffin.
I'm gonna get Ben a Korg MS2000 synth for Valentine's Day. Because its a cool synth for a cool boy.

I got my permit. I missed 8 questions exactly. And my picture didn't even come out that bad. Not bad at all. My room is getting cleaned tomorrow whether I want it to or not. Is anyone else utterly baffled that John Stossel can make a fine living by finding things to complain about? Can I get paid if I said 'give me a break' a minimum of twice a week? What if the world was just full of John Stossel clones? What if John Stossel had a livejournal?

I bought Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory yesterday at Costco. I don't intend to watch it until Saturday. It will be my present to myself for getting through this week.
I banged and cut my finger in a cabinet today while reaching for Cheez Its. And Ben cut his finger trying to open a box of doughnuts. Well, he somehow though opening a box of Entimens require the help of a knife. But either way, the gods have not been kind to our hands today. Fiddler On The Roof is not a fun movie to analyze. I'm taking my permit test this Friday. Friday the 13th. I'm not a supersitious person, but I'd like something to blame failing on. You know, blame it on something other than, well, myself. But Ben is taking me to Dennys for dinner afterwards in the event that I pass/in encouragement to do better next week.
